2026 Esso Golden Ring Committee is looking for volunteers to fill the following committee positions:
Co-chair – steward a well organized committee. We have a great team and defined roles, so while it does take organization and a bit of time, the chair position is not as hard as it sounds!
Secretary – record and disseminate the committee meeting notes. One committee meeting per month from Sept – Jan.
Medal Presentation – assist in organizing and presenting medals to the Gold and Silver winning teams. Must be present at the arena for the finals (Sunday afternoon)
Publicity co-ordinator – reach out to Calgary media and manage our social media presence
Vendor co-ordinator – organize the photographer and apparel vendors for the tournament
Schedule assistant – work with our existing master scheduler to learn his process, with the intent to take over within the next year or so. This role requires very high level excel skills.
South Calgary Volunteer Representative– organize the South Calgary volunteers
Arena operations – work with a team to ensure our arenas are ready for the tournament (shot clocks, small nets etc). Volunteers with a truck and able to move a small net or two(if necessary) would be greatly appreciated
