Scholarships

In addition to Ringette Scholarships available through Ringette Canada and Ringette Alberta, the following are Ringette Calgary Scholarships.

Don Henderson Memorial Scholarship

In 1989 Ringette Calgary set up a Ringette Scholarship at the University of Calgary. The Scholarship was renamed the “Don Henderson Memorial Scholarship” in 1993 after the passing of Don Henderson who was one of the individuals who started Ringette in Calgary.

WCRC Legacy Scholarship

The “Western Canadian Ringette Championships Legacy Scholarship” is awarded to a Ringette player who is a current or former resident of Calgary, is attending a Canadian post-secondary institute on a full-time basis, and who combines academic excellence with a strong commitment to the sport of Ringette.
